The 1960s handed our world a very rare gift – a gift of some of the most talented R&B artists of our time.  These brothers and sisters of “soul” led the way – paved the way – for future talented artists of today. The deep soul renditions of their “mainstream” songs – the soulful, gritty, emotional sounds we came to love – were born from the church – the inner core of their faith.  The Sunday hours spent praising the Lord – offering testimony — was their training ground to build the strong foundation of our nation’s beloved “Rhythm & Blues.”

In 1985, Winfield prayed to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for guidance, and made a spiritual, life-altering change.  This was a change that would direct his God-given magnificent voice to praising the Lord – singing the “message” through the Gospel.  Gospel was no stranger to Winfield – as he comes from a large, spiritual family. The beautiful, spiritual ladies of “Praise” Winfield’s choir — Emily Watson, Vanessa Hunter, and Sarah Parker — epitomize Winfield’s belief in his having been anointed with the Lord’s praises.  Their harmonious, rich voices are delivered through their deep love for Christ – counter pointing and embellishing the Lord’s message in song. 

Winfield Parker credits include concerts and appearances with the Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Bobby Jones TV show in Atlanta, Georgia, performing with Luther Barnes, Vicki Winans, Reverend Dr. Thomas Walker, Slim and the Supreme Angels, Williams Brothers, and the Jackson Southernaires.   He has made numerous friends with some of gospel’s preeminent talent.  Winfield is honored and blessed by friendships such as Patrick Ellis and Jacquie Gales-Webb of WHUR, Washington DC; Pastor Lee Michaels and Brad Rogers of Heaven 600AM, Baltimore; Sis. Ollie Williams and the late Clyde Perkins, Glory 98.5, Florence, SC; Frank K, WWDR, Murfreesboro, NC; and the late Ray Edwards, WOL, Washington DC – all of whom have been inspirational and supportive to Winfield Parker’s gospel journey.

Praising the Lord’s name in song has been Winfield’s ongoing focus.  His rewards along the way have resulted in God’s blessing to guide him in the formation of his own record label, Bp Records, Inc., and publishing company, Monterlav Publishing.  Winfield has composed and arranged numerous gospel works in his catalogue, all included in seven widely recognized and in demand albums. 

Reuniting with former Gamble & Huff, Philadelphia International Records, Inc. Grammy Winning composer, producer and recording artist, Bunny Sigler (Bunny has composed Grammy Award Winning hits for Patti LaBelle and a host of Grammy winning works for the O’Jays), was a significant point in Winfield’s career.  In 2004 Winfield and Bunny collaborated on his new CD, “Miracle” – an astonishingly brilliant, moving and soulful gospel return to his roots.  It is unlike no other gospel work.  “Miracle” is Winfield’s testimony to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who through Him, ‘all things were, are, and will continue to be possible.’  Winfield expresses the miracles in his life through the brilliantly written and produced hit single, “Miracle”  – and is firm in his affirmation that Jesus provides in His time, and that He is truly his personal guide. 

It is with love and joy in his heart for the Lord that Winfield Parker has delivered a spiritual rejuvenation and inspiration to so many.  May we all continue to be inspired by his faith and love of Christ.
